It saves paper. The printer is not good for photos, but does a good job to documents. (Especially the double-sided printing)<br /><br />I bought the first <b><i>HL4150CDN</i></b> and used it for about a year. During the summer, lightning struck close to home and I heard a loud SNAP and that was the end of the printer. So, I bought a second <u>HL4150CDN</u> last summer.<br /><br />Once again, everything was fine until I "sold out" of toner. Hmmm ... ALL color cartridges must be replaced at the same time. Oh yeah ... Now I remember the same thing happened on the first printer. 90% of what print is black, and I tell the program to use only black. So how did ALL my color cartridges are empty at the same time?<br /><br />I took the cartridges out of my old (zap), printer and put them in the new one, since they were almost new when the old printer obtained zapping. (I just changed them). Oops ... it still says the toner is empty. Now I'm really scratching my head! After reading online, I tried blocking the "toner empty" sensor, but I have not found what method you use to determine the "empty" cartridge. So, I'm afraid I'll have to find another printer.<br /><br />I refuse to buy more (expensive) cartridges when I have to replace all three (color) cartridges at the same time - and I'm not getting much use from them. In addition, it will just stop printing without notice.<br /><br />One day I printed well, the next day I can not print if not replace all three color cartridges. Sorry brother, this is NOT a good way to make me toner and spend a lot of money on the cartridges. If I could find a way to use the remaining toner in the cartridges that I have, I would consider keeping the printer.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><b>It 'a good printer if you do not mind replacing the cartridge frequently.
